Gospel music is indeed a ministry, whether or not it is recognized as one. If the Spirit of The Lord is upon the music it becomes ministry, reaching the soul, where the meaningful things take place. Many Gospel music ministers struggle to be recognized as true ministers and often just to be allowed to be heard. Having been a Gospel music minister for some time now, my belief is, that some of us are suffering because of others' jealousy and fear. Sometimes even coming from the pastors and preachers themselves. The fear,I believe, is that the congregation might like the psalm more than the sermon. The fact is preaching without music, in the form of praise or worship somewhere in the service, is missing something. Also music cannot take the place of God's written Word. Too much music and not enough Word can lead people astray, following the beat and not the Bible. In this section will be people whose music ministry is respected by myself and many others. Some of these artists are pastors as well as psalmists. Please support them by purchasing the things that you enjoy. I think that's fair to say. We're ministers but in order for us to continue to pay to record the music there must be some returns. Be aware that the music business, in general, is dying because of copying, free downloading, and just plain bootlegging. This has gone on for so long that certain people feel they have a right to buy a copy of a
C D, make copies of it and sell it. Please support the ministry.
